Water
Eat real food, stop eating out, do exercise that makes you happy, get plenty of fresh air and sunshine, get off of drugs (with the help of your MD), work on your spiritual heart health, laugh and drink water.
Here are some facts about water:
-
Here is a general water measurement for consumption. Take your weight in pounds and divide that number in half. This number is the amount of ounces of water you should drink each day. For every hour of exercise add 32 ounces to that number.
-
Make sure that most of your drinking water is around 7.5 – the normal ph for water. A higher water ph. of 8 and above can disrupt the stomachs normal acid level of 1.5.
-
It is best to not drink water with meals. Drink 1 hour before a meal or 1 hour after. Again water has a tendency to dilute the stomach acid needed to breakdown food. Drinking water with meals can lead to gas production, indigestion, heart burn, headaches after eating, poor nutrient absorption and decreased enzyme activity in the mouth and digestive tract. Water is needed for digestion, but timing is important.
-
Thirstlessness can be a sign of dehydration. A vicious cycle. I believe this is a protection mechanism and here’s the reason. If water is not available, the brain will shut down the thirst center to protect the mind from insanity due to thirst which cannot be quenched. Increase the water consumption and the thirst center will regulate itself again.
-
Brain injuries can lead to thirstlessness as well.
-
Symptoms of dehydration can be headaches, swelling, blurred vision, gas production, craving for sugar, cavities, sinus trouble, restless sleep, fatigue, sluggish gall bladder and liver.
-
· Increasing water can lead to weight loss due to stimulating kidney function.
-
If water consumption causes weight gain or swelling, then the kidneys are not functioning properly. To increase kidney function, reduce daily carbohydrate intake to around 50-60 grams a day for one year or longer if needed. Water intake should be directed by your doctor. If not under doctor care, keep water intake to a quarter of your weight in ounces. So if you weigh 160 lbs. that would be 40 ounces.
-
Water tastes better infused with fruit or veggies, but in order to hydrate, no infusion is best. Tea and coffee do not count for daily ounces of water.
-
Increase urination at night is actually a blood sugar condition, meaning the consumption of sugar or carbohydrates are too high in the diet. I do not recommend Keto diet, but to either go off of high glycemic sugars or reduce daily carbohydrates to 50-60 grams a day.
-
If water intake is high to normal range, make sure to consume adequate amount of electrolytes daily.
Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.
