God bends science, because He created science and He can defy it. He defies logic and our concept of science - like walking on water, giving life to the dead, healing the bleeding woman through the hem of His garment, and with the breath of His Word a paralyzed man walks.

THE WORD

The Word of God has wrecked me and I will never be the same. It is the most powerful thing I have EVER encountered in my life.

Every letter, word and sentence is a living, breathing power.  A life force that created everything we see, hear and touch.  It is the Breath of God, the Bread of Life, the Wisdom of God, the Living Water and the Sword of the Spirit – Jesus Christ.

These names of the Word of God (Jesus) have a purpose and a sequential order: to create and save, to nourish, to teach, to empower, and to battle. In the beginning of the Bible, we see that the Breath of God created man, in the middle of the Bible the Wisdom of God taught man and in it's end the Sword of the Spirit empowered man to victoriously overcome.  If we doubt its beginning, we will doubt it's end and everything in between.  And since Jesus Christ is the Word of God, then to doubt the Word is to doubt the Almighty God.

The Word creates life.  It is a Breath that manifests unseen things to be seen. A Breath which saves mankind from sin – an Eternal Gospel.

The Word is the Bread that nourishes, strengthens, and restores God’s sheep, leading them to a pasture where they can lie down.

The Word is also God’s wisdom which is supreme above all things. Nothing on earth is it's equal.  It teaches, through discipline and correction bringing discernment, protection, knowledge and understanding as we walk through the mountains and valleys of life.

The Living Water is the power of God; a river of healing, flowing from the temple of God to the people. Wherever this water flows, everything there becomes healed.

The Word of God is a HUGE Sword; unlike the ones on earth.  It is massive and can only be swung by the power and strength of the Holy Spirit. When this Sword is wielded, it makes the principalities of darkness tremble for they are cut down. It protects, saves, delivers and breaks strongholds.  Remember - it's Jesus!

Do you see the progression of the Word and it's power?  No matter where we are in our spiritual growth, the Word of God meets us there. Jesus knows what we need in the Word, for life, healing and times of battle.

TESTIMONY

I grew up with the Bible, but was not hungry. My sin was making me full.  In fact, I was so full from sin, I didn’t want God because He made me so angry, then I vomited Him from my life.  More and more sin pleased my appetite.

It took the death of my son to make me hungry for God and hungry for His Word. Shortly after the death of my child, God miraculously flew me and my husband to Israel. We toured Israel and something changed in my heart. Upon returning home, I was so hungry for the Word, that I could not get enough. I devoured His Word as though I had not eaten in years. Hour upon hour, in the silence of the night and the quietness of the morning, my heart consumed His Word with a hunger I had never known. And over the past 26 years, it has saved, nourished, taught and empowered me. I am nothing without Jesus. For He is the Living Word of God.

I rise before dawn and cry for your help; I have put my hope in your word.

Psalm 119:147

THE WILDERNESS

The purpose of the wilderness is to teach us that man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God. The wilderness is about testing – the testing of the heart. Will we live on the Word of God?  Will this be our sustenance in the wilderness when all has been striped away or will we crawl through the desert dryness on our bellies clinging to idols that have no saving power.  Jesus was tested in the wilderness and He said, “Man does live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

Moses said to the Israelites...

Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 8:2-3

WISDOM

The Word has been given to teach man wisdom.  A heavenly wisdom which mankind does not want, nor believes to have any worth.  A wisdom far more valuable than anything we can desire.  And with each trial or tribulation, God longs to teach His children wisdom, “This is why you are in this pit, this is how you get out and this is how you never return.”

Throughout the Bible, we see those who sought God’s wisdom and those who rejected…and it didn’t go well with them. This is why attuning our ears to the voice of the Shepherd is critical when navigating the Word. He leads His sheep to the needed scripture in order to teach them His wisdom. The first 5 chapters of Proverbs leads with the theme...LISTEN. To learn the Wisdom of God we must listen.  When there is desperation, lack, powerlessness, sickness, tribulation, brokenness, chaos and pain then cry out for His wisdom day and night, listen to His Words and pay attention, for in them there is life.

My son, pay attention to what I say, LISTEN closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart, for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.

Proverbs 4:20-22

READING IS DIFFICULT

I hear many people say this, “I don’t read well, therefore, I can’t read the Bible.” If we seek God’s Word, then He will give the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to read it.  My friend had a teenage daughter who could not read well.  As a homeschooling mom, she was exasperated, trying to fix this problem. God gave her the wisdom to have her daughter read the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Upon finishing, she had become a superb reader. It was a miracle!

Never let poor or slow reading be an excuse. Remember, Jesus is the best TEACHER ever!! He will teach you how to read His Word – just start from the beginning.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE WORD OF GOD

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14

When we fully comprehend that Jesus is the Word, everything changes.

As soon as a verse has left our lips, we have spoken Jesus into that sickness, soothed a painful body part with His Presence or lopped off the head of a demon. By doing this, the Healer has entered the situation - for to breath the Word is to breath Jesus.

Our meditation on the scriptures, is to focus on Jesus.

He whose mind is steadfast on Him will have perfect peace.

He became the manifested bones, blood and flesh of the Word of God.

He is every word, letter, sentence, story and miracle...the very Breath of God. The fulfillment of scripture.  Therefore as Jesus is...so are we.  What the Word says...we become.

To question the Word is to doubt Jesus.  To judge the Word is to judge Jesus.  Go ahead and sit on that throne, but it will not go well.

For man judges the Word to search out its error, but the Word was meant to judge us and search out our error.

THE TEACHER

Only the Holy Spirit can birth hunger for the Word. We cannot make ourselves hungry. However, when we find our hunger absent, we can cry out for more of Jesus and more of His Holy Spirit and more of His wisdom. He will fill us!

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6

Since the Holy Spirit is the One who ignites hunger, He is the One who teaches and directs where to read. Sit at Jesus’ feet before reading the Bible and ask, “Where do you want me to read?” He knows the intricate depths of our hearts and the wisdom we need to learn. Remember, the Holy Spirit is the greatest Teacher we will ever know. He teaches with order and simplicity, which our hearts can comprehend. If the Word is confusing, we may be “eating bread” that we are not ready to understand. Five-year-olds don’t know how to fix a car, nor do grade schoolers understand college chemistry. Learning is orderly and systematic; that’s how the Holy Spirit teaches. So again, if the Word is too complex, sit before Him and ask, “Where would you like me to read in your Word?” He will be faithful to answer. We will know His voice in our hearts, for our hearts will yearn to read a specific book, passage or story in His Word. THIS is the Holy Spirit teaching. Ask also, “What do you want me to learn today?” Take notes, underline or memorize, whichever is needed. Approach the Word with meekness and humility; let it correct, discipline, and refine the heart with wisdom. It is so beautiful to sit at the feet of Jesus and learn from the Righteous Teacher.

For many years, I feasted on the bread of Proverbs…and I still do, as well as the rest of the Word. The Teacher knew my heart was foolish and needed to learn much wisdom. Only by His grace! He led me through

countless verses, story upon story and book after book. I became awestruck; the intricate details in His Word are written to amazing perfection; like a running thread that connects authors, books, histories and meanings to pinpoint precision. No mortal man could ever write such a book.

He would call to me in the stillness of the night to consume His Word. It fed and nourished my broken, sinful heart. When I couldn’t sleep, He would say, “Come child. There is something I want to teach you.” After receiving His wisdom, He would put me back to sleep with the Word deep in my heart.

When we see people reading their Bible frequently, we commonly think, “Wow they must be really holy,” but true hunger for the Word can only come from Jesus.  A heart that knows its depravity and the only One who can save it is Jesus.

THE INERRANCY OF THE WORD

He is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God.

Revelation 19:13

Jesus is perfect, THEREFORE, the Word of God is perfect. We are mortal and the Word is eternal. Some argue the Word has error. So to judge the Word is to judge Jesus. God told Job, “Would you condemn me to justify yourself? GOD is the overseer and protector of His Word, not man. HE has ALL power to translate His perfect Word to man, in spite of man’s shortcomings. May we stop dissecting the Word for error and let the Word dissect our hearts for error. It was written to judge our hearts, not for man to judge. Where is the fear of God?

People have sacrificed their lives for the Word of God, and sadly we sit in classrooms, and coffee shops discussing its error. To those who have taught errancy to the children, repent! If they have walked away from their faith due to this teaching of doctrine of demons, their blood is on your head.

Do not go there, do not take one step towards the deceiving door of errancy lest you be measured and found wanting. May we not measure the Word, but may it measure us.

The created judging the Creator. God help us.

Since the Holy Spirit is our Teacher, then with much prayer, pick the most accurate translation that He leads you to and let Him teach you daily through His Word even if it is one verse or one chapter at a time.  And when the Word fills you with wisdom, you will have more power just sitting there in your chair than 10 rulers in a city.

Let the Word teach you wisdom…because you are going to need it.

TRANSLATIONS

The NIV 1982 version is beautiful. The history behind this version is remarkable – those who undertook this huge project, bathed it in fervent prayer and discernment to accurately translate. This 1982 NIV version is hard to find and I pray earnestly that it comes back into print by God’s mighty hand. The King James Version is wonderful as well and some adhere only to this translation.  However, there are many great translations and the Holy Spirit will lead each one of us to the exact translation that helps us hear and understand His voice.  Praise the LORD!

The “error in translation” argument is weak and shaky.  Pretty sure God-fearing Christians weren't wondering about errancy when they were burning at the stake, tortured, imprisoned or beheaded for the Word of God.  Today, a line is being drawn in the sand.

Man questions the Word’s authority with the “error in translation” excuse. We use this argument to justify our own sin. Remember, what God said to Job, “You would question me to justify yourself?” Don’t go there! These are living and breathing words of fire. Can you touch fire and not be burned? The Word is a consuming fire.

In all the world, the Word of God has been translated into MANY languages; and God’s Word continues to thrive and transform the hearts of men. Why? Because HE is the overseer and protector of His Word. And NO man can come against it, for it is eternal and shall never pass away.

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11

The grass withers and flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.

Isaiah 40:8

The law is perfect, reviving the soul.

Psalm 19:7

As for God, his way is perfect, the word of the LORD is flawless.

Psalm 18:30a

THE DECEIVER’S SCHEMES

Satan has been lying to men and women, young and old through the ages, so we will doubt the Word of God.  If he succeeds then we are defeated, if we believe then HE is defeated.

Do you get it now?  If he can get us to doubt the Word of God, then we will doubt Jesus, His Name, His salvation, His authority and the power given to us.

Wake up, oh people!

Open your eyes, and see how the deceiver has deceived the people from the beginning of creation.

Believe what the Word of God says. Do not believe the lies of the devil.

God said (commanded) to Adam, “Don’t’ eat of this tree.”

Satan said to Eve, “Eat of the tree, God is lying to you.”

Satan knew he had NO POWER against the Almighty God, BUT the one thing he could do was cause God's creation to doubt His spoken Word, by deceiving them - lying to them.

His ONLY ability is to deceive, but his works were CRUSHED by the cross – the very Blood of our Savior. Jesus is the Way, the TRUTH and the life.

The one who does what is sinful is the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God came was to destroy the works of the devil.

1 John 3:8

Now Eve doubted what God said – His Word, because she believed what Satan said.

The first sin was not the eating of the fruit, it was doubting the Word of God - believing the lie.

She had a choice to believe the Word of God (don’t eat or you will die) or believe the lie (eat, you will not die, you will be wise.)

It is the same choice we are given every day – doubt or believe.

(Hey, if it had not been her, it would have been me.)

For I am just as guilty of doubting as Eve, possibly more, for I have had a lifetime of doubting. And it tragically changed the course of my life.

Do you see how serious it is to doubt His Word? It critically alters the paths of men.

DOUBT

God said to not eat from that tree! She doubted what God said, believed the serpent and ate.

And doubt (believing a lie) led them both to rebel and the rest is history.

One of the Hebrew definitions of doubt is to judge, to move away from. So for those who judge the Word, you are moving AWAY from God and His Word and believing lies from the deceiver.

So we can either move towards the Word or move away, but we can’t do both.

If Satan can get mankind to doubt the Word, then we automatically become judge over that which is to judge us, and as a result… rebellion follows.

Eve became judge over God’s Word. She moved away and rebelled.

And so it is today, as it always has been for mankind…believe or doubt. The line has been drawn in the sand. Believe the deceiver or believe the Word of God, Jesus Christ…but you can’t do both.

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

James 1:6

BELIEVING THE WORD OF THE LORD

Here is an earthly example of believing the Word God has spoken.

Our friends who lived in another state, called and announced that they had purchased Toby Mac concert tickets for all of us. We were super excited to see this performer, even if it required traveling. We didn't have the tickets in our possession, but we believed what they said, because we trusted them and trusted their word. So, we sang, danced and shouted for joy and thanked God for the gift. All we had was their word; no tickets and zero evidence. We had to receive this gift by faith – faith in their word.

The day approached, we packed and drove to Oregon to receive what had been promised (purchased). If we had not believed them, we would not have received. We received the tickets by faith in the word they spoke, because we BELIEVED in what they said.

HEALING BY BELIEVING

The heart says, “I’ll believe in the internet, doctors, drugs and food to heal me, but I won’t believe what God’s Word says about my healing. It is easier to take a pill then to take responsibility for my unbelief.”

If we want healing in our lives, we must believe what the Word of God says about restoration.

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

We are CALLED to believe the Word of God….Believers!! Believe is an action - to act, to stand on the Word. When we believe the Word, our mouth and our actions demonstrate our belief.

We can either be tossed like waves in the ocean of unbelief or stand steadfast firmly on what the Word says about sickness, disease, lack, work, unrest, weakness, enemies, our hearts, children and families.

Those who believed the Word of God:

Noah built a boat, saved animals and his family, because he believed God’s spoken Word.

Abraham had a son and became the father of many nations, because he believed the Words God spoke to Him.

David became King and his enemies fell, because he believed the written and spoken Word of God.

Mary believed what Gabriel spoke to her, the Words of God, and she became the mother of Jesus.

Joseph became Jesus’ father and protected baby Jesus, because he believed the Word of the LORD spoken in a dream.

Joshua and Caleb entered the promised land, because they believed the promises of God.

Jehoshaphat’s enemies fell, because he believed the Word of God spoken by the prophet.

The Jews believed in Jesus’ healing power and were healed.

The disciples believed in the One who was the Word made flesh and later received the mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit and changed the world.

The Jewish people believed in Jesus and His Word when He came in the flesh; they formed the churches, healed the sick and spread the gospel to the entire planet. They believed enough to die for it.

Same temptation Eve dealt with, we deal with everyday. Are we going to believe what the devil says or what God says? Are we going to believe what the enemy is dishing out – lack, sickness, disease, chaos, and destruction or are we going to believe God’s Word - Jesus who bore it all?

So, to believe God’s powerful Word, is to believe in Jesus. Act on it and give Him praise, thanksgiving and shouts of joy to Him, for we have received every promise through the finished work of Jesus Christ our LORD who loves us so much.

And we shall be healed, restored and made new BECAUSE JESUS BORE OUR CURSES THROUGH HIS BLOOD - TO RESTORE MAN BACK TO GOD IN HIS ORIGINAL STATE.

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.

Galatians 3:13

If we embrace doubt, we are moving away from the one who bore our curses and paid the price for our freedom.

It is only the righteousness of Jesus that we can overcome the spirit of doubt.

Since Jesus became a curse for us and He is every Word, letter and sentence, if we refuse to believe His Word and the finished work of Jesus, than we are choosing instead the curses of this world. This is why doubt (judging the Word or moving away from) is so serious.

Those who didn't believe:

Adam and Eve sinned, because they did not believe the spoken Word of God, but believed the serpent’s words. They moved away from God and rebelled.

The Israelites in the desert, feared, complained and rebelled. They did not believe the Word of God – His promises. Consequently, they were unable to enter the promised land.

The 12 Israelite spies feared the giants, and led the people astray to their death, because they did not believe the Word of God. They fell at the hands of their enemies.

Samson married a forbidden woman, drank wine, and his strength was stripped, because he did not believe the Word of God.

Lot’s wife turned around and was turned into stone, because she did not believe the spoken Word of God.

King Solomon received God’s wisdom, but did not follow it. He rebelled and consequently his kingdom was divided, because he did not believe the spoken and written Word of God.

The Pharisees rejected the truth, because they did not believe the Word of God – Jesus. They rejected the glory of God.

FAITH IN THE WORD OF GOD

Faith is believing what God said. That’s it!

What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed what God said, and it was credited to him as righteousness.

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Romans 4:3,18-21

Faith grows and matures by hearing the Word of God, whether from our own mouths or the mouth of another. Our ears are the key to our faith. Isn’t that how most of us came to Christ, was through hearing the gospel?

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17

When we hear the Word of God spoken over and over, our faith grows and we believe. If we don’t have enough faith, it really means we don’t believe what God says in His Word to be true. May we ask Jesus to open our ears.

Eve had faith that what the serpent said was true, but she did not have faith in what God said was true. So she believed the serpent’s words and her actions followed.

Faith ushers us into grace, because all grace abounds to us by faith.

DOERS OF THE WORD OF GOD

We can hear the Word, but if we don’t believe it and act upon it, we have nothing. Those actions coupled with praise and thanksgiving demonstrate our belief in what He said.

Jesus said, “Don’t just be hearers of the Word, but doers.

Remember, those that acted on the Word were healed.

Those that believed what the Word said, were delivered.

If we really believed what the Word promises, then we would be jumping for joy with un-contained thankfulness and praise to God.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

James 1:22

TESTING

Sometimes our hearts are tested by God to determined if we will be faithful to His Word or faithless, just like Eve. Will we bow to fear or faith?

God tested the Israelites with lack of water and food in the desert. Would they be faithful to His Word in the midst of starvation and thirst or would they believe His promise, His Word spoken for 400 years? This is what the Word means, in the midst of lack, “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God.” He wanted them to live on His promise, His spoken Word. If they had been faithful, they would have arrived in the promised land in 3 days.

Fear came in again and deceived them. They doubted the Word of God and even the Promise Land. They grumbled, complained rebelled. Hey, I would have been one those Israelites.

Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

Deuteronomy 8:2

And Moses said, “because the Lord has heard your grumbling that you grumble against him— what are we? Your grumbling is not against us but against the Lord.”

Exodus 16:8b

For they did not believe in God or trust in his deliverance.

Psalm 78:22

Twelve men from the tribes of Israel were sent to spy out the Promised Land. They came back with fear, trembling and had a bad report about this land. They doubted God’s Word, His promise that He would lead them to the Promised Land and defeat their enemies and they also caused the hearts of the people to fear and doubt as well.

That’s when God said enough, you doubt my Word, you shall wonder for 40 years and perish as you have predicted.

Out of the twelve, there were only 2 who DID believe God’s spoken Word. And they did not perish in the desert, but got to go into the Promised Land.

Only 2 out of 2 million who did not doubt God's Word were able to enter His rest and go into the bountiful, abundant land. All the rest perished in the desert.

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

If we don’t believe the Word of God, we are defeated, if we believe His Word than the enemy is defeated.

Death came by DOUBTING the Word, life comes by BELIEVING the Word.

The enemy has no power over the Word of God -Jesus.

PEOPLE, SWING THE SWORD

Speak the Word of God. Believe what you are speaking

Every day declare by the name of Jesus and the Word of God

The “Name It and Claim It” teaching, claims created things, but we are claiming the powerful Word of God.

It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak.

2 Corinthians 4:13

We are not just to keep the Word in our head. It is a sword for war and Intercession and must be swung.

As the Army of God, why do we hang our Swords in the tent and not use it.

Before entering the promised land, God COMMANDED Joshua to meditate on His law day and night. Do not let it cease from your mouth.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8

Meditate in Hebrew means to mutter, speak or chew. Like a cow that chews on it’s cud or a piece of bread that we chew. Our mouth is in motion with the Word.

God was commanding Joshua to speak the Word of God without ceasing. HE asked him to swing the Sword of the Spirit - the Word of God

To speak the Word is to swing the Sword.

I asked The LORD one day why was speaking the Word so vitally important as they were entering the land.

He said, There wasn't just physical enemies in the Promised Land, but spiritual enemies as well. The land was filled with evil - idolatry, murder, prostitution, greed, sexual immorality, violence and many other principalities of darkness.

So, the Sword went before them as well as the presence of the Almighty God and defeated the spiritual enemies as well as the physical ones. This was the same with Jesus’ ministry. He swung the Sword and carried the presence of the Holy Spirit upon Him and enemies were defeated. We are called to the same thing.

By meditating (speaking) the Word, for even Joshua himself, it empowered him to be strong and very courageous, to trust (believe) in the Lord, to be obedient and not run away in doubt and fear when face to face with the enemy.

The sword empowers us and defeats enemies.

Because Joshua trusted and believed in what the Lord said, they RECEIVED what God had promised.

Joshua and Caleb were the only two out of the twelve who gave a good report, and believed the Word of God and look what they received. Blessings and rest!

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

Psalm 1:1-4

Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. Revelation 19:15

From the fruit of their lips people enjoy good things, but the unfaithful have an appetite for violence.

Proverbs 13:2

So believers…BELIEVE the Word, SPEAK the Word over all crisis situations, marriages, health issues, loved ones, job losses, financial problems, ministries churches…all of it. You got the wolf in your life, then get him OUT. You have been given a sword…USE IT!

And don’t accept the destruction he is dishing out. For Jesus said I have come to DESTROY the works of the devil. And from Jesus, we believers have been given the power and the authority to kick him back to the abyss from which he came and his minions too. Why are we crying and complaining, acting like victims, about our marriage troubles, children leaving, prodigals, family rebellion, financial problems, sicknesses, disease, plagues, church problems and governments.

Do you know what happened to the Israelites that did not believe God’s Word, and spoke fearful words? Their very own words came to pass. What you say is what you get.

All the Israelites grumbled against Moses and Aaron, and the whole assembly said to them, “If only we had died in Egypt! Or in this wilderness! Why is the Lord bringing us to this land only to let us fall by the sword? Our wives and children will be taken as plunder. Wouldn’t it be better for us to go back to Egypt?”

Numbers 14:2-3

Now is sounds like I am being harsh and I am, because God had to be harsh with me, for I thought I was a victim and became a complainer. Diminishing the very work of Jesus with each whine. Remember what God said to Moses at the Red Sea, “Why are you crying out to me?”

DON’T AGREE AND DON’T ACCEPT

May we not agree with the enemy as Eve did, nor accept what he throws our way such as sickness, sin, lack, strife, wayward children, injustice or financial troubles. May we accept and agree what God says about our troubles. Truth verses lies.

If we get sick tomorrow, does it cancel Christ’s stripes? No! We declare the truth to that sickness. Our

wounds have been paid for by the Blood of Jesus and the wounds He endured on His body for our sickness. His body in exchange for our body. When we struggle with sin, we must meet that sin head on with the truth of the Word of God. Proclaim the Word and the Righteous Blood of Jesus over your life and sin will be defeated.

When we encounter lack, sickness, strife, injustice, apostasy what will be our truth in the face the enemy? So we have a choice, we can either agree with the enemy of lack or agree with what the Word of God says. It is no different than the choice Eve had to make.

PROTECTED OR UNPROTECTED

As believers, we have a choice every moment of the day to live protected or unprotected.

Are we going to let the enemy come in to our homes, families, finances, health, jobs, cities and nations and plunder whatever he wants?

WAKE UP! We have been given the greatest authority in heaven and on earth. Why are we letting this killer, thief and destroyer come in without a spiritual fight. Our swords are laying on the table not even swung. Get him out! Swing that Sword. SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD. He cannot stand up against the name of Jesus, His blood and the spoken Word of God. Remember, Satan, cannot read your mind so he hears what you speak. So SPEAK THE WORD, DON’T JUST KEEP IT IN YOUR HEAD….USE IT TO DESTROY THE PRINCIPALITIES OF DARKNESS. It is a weapon of mass destruction.

Remember, our battle is not with flesh and blood, (other humans) our battle is with one thing and one thing only and that is Satan and his minions. So, we do not speak the Word to condemn others or throw verses at them. We intercede for our fellow humans on their behalf. They are in prison and we have the authority and the power and the weapon to release them.

Satan binds the prisoner so they cannot go home. Bind Satan from them and they shall go home.

“For when a strong man like Satan is fully armed and guards his palace, his possessions are safe— until someone even stronger attacks and overpowers him, strips him of his weapons, and carries off his belongings.”

Luke 22-11:21

Stop complaining about the enemy attacking, don’t even mention what he is doing, don’t give him any credit or air time. That’s equivalent to someone crying that an ant is biting them.

May we cease our complaining and defeat the enemy. Speak ONLY what Jesus has done and is doing.

We have been given ALL authority in the Name of Jesus, ALL power, ALL the protection needed by the Blood of Jesus, the biggest sword that NEVER misses and shinning glory of God Himself with His people!

Stop acting like a victim…we are victors in Christ. When we act like a victim, we are putting Jesus to shame, because He did EVERYTHING needed for us to be a conqueror.

That's like a father putting $100,000 in his daughter’s bank account by working a backbreaking job of great sacrifice and she walks around complaining she has no money.

I love this story in the Bible . Please read it for it is too long to put on these pages, but is an awesome understanding of victim or victor. In summary, a Syrian King came to kill the prophet Elisha and surrounded him with his army. Elisha did not act like a victim. He knew what had been given him…the armies of heaven. The heavenly armies were revealed, and the king’s army was struck blind and sent back to Syria. They did not invade Israel again.

When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder.

Luke 11:21-22

In Psalms 149, the chapter describes the saints. Take note of the verses underlined.

The Saints are to have a double-edged sword in their hands (swinging/speaking the Word of God) and high praises of God in their throats…and this is what will be accomplished.

Take note of the verses underlined.

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King! Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre! For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation. Let the godly exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their throats and two-edged swords in their hands, to execute vengeance on the nations and punishments on the peoples, to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, to execute on them the judgment written! This is honor for all his godly ones. Praise the Lord!

Psalm 149:1-9

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Proverbs 18:21

Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle; he is my steadfast love and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

Psalm 144:1-2

THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS

Wow! The meaning of THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS is so powerful!

Revelations 19:10b says for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

It means… SPEAKING THE WORD IS PROPHESYING WHAT SHALL HAPPEN!

This is so amazing….the enemy tries to change times, laws, people and events. BUT as soon as the Word goes forth from our mouths, the prophecy cannot be altered because God’s Word does not return to Him unaccomplished.

Just like when God spoke let there be light…there HAD to be light because He SPOKE His Word and it HAD to be.

NOTHING cancels or interrupts that Word.

For when we speak God’s Word over sickness, lack, or people, we are prophesying what shall happen, because God cannot lie.

It is the Word of God, because each letter, each word gives testimony of Jesus because He is the Word and fulfilled it all. And when we speak it, we are giving testimony to the finished work of Christ and no principalities of darkness can prevail.
