In 1995, early in the morning, I shot straight up in bed from a dream.
“What was that?” I said, as my heart pounded in my chest.
The dream was detailed and clear in it’s message.
The dragon is coming!
​
I was walking from east to west on a road, taking note that I had just left a building of witches who were gathering about. As I walked, the Holy Spirit kept saying, “The dragon is coming, the dragon is coming.” Somehow in my mind I knew what the dragon looked like and that it was coming from the east but on a road parallel to mine. It was an enormous red dragon traveling, like I said, east to west. While walking further on this road, I came to a church with many people inside. I said to them, “The dragon is coming, the dragon is coming.” But sadly they all seemed to ignore my warning and kept on mingling paying no attention to my warning.

After leaving this church, the road soon curved and I found myself at a crossroads or an intersection. This intersection connected my road and the dragon’s road.
We were on parallel roads before and now our roads were intersecting, but the dragon had not come down his road yet from the east. At this intersection, there were people who had been walking on the same road as the dragon, in the same direction but just way ahead of him. I said to them, “The dragon is coming, do not stay on this same road that he is coming on, for he will catch up to you and overtake you. Go north or south, do not continue to travel east to west on this same road he is traveling.” They heeded my warning, and so I helped all of them climb into a big bed dump truck which had suddenly appeared in the intersection. When every one of them had been loaded up, I suddenly realized, there was no more room for me. The truck then drove off traveling south with all of the people safe inside away from the dragon. Standing now alone at the intersection caused me great fear, for I knew the enormous red dragon was coming down the road and there was no one around to help me. Knowing there was no choice but to face the dragon head on, I turned around to face the eastern road and suddenly a MASSIVE Sword appeared in my hands. With my feet spread apart, firmly planted, and my Sword in battle ready position, I was fully equipped to face the dragon. God had given me the Sword - the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit!
I woke up.

Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition, to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Ephesians 6:13-17

Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, for the devil has gone down to you. He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.

WE ARE IN THE DAYS OF REVELATION
After reading this passage in Revelation, some may ask, “Well, when was the dragon thrown down?”
Does it really matter?
Being overly concerned with time and dates should not be our priority right now. Time and dates don’t defeat a dragon. This is exactly what Satan desires is to distract our attention to things that are unimportant. What matters in this battle is the condition of our hearts before God. What matters is His blood and His Word. These are what overcome a dragon.

THE SEVEN HEADS
The dragon has seven heads and seven crowns and these heads are systems in this world or some have called them mountains. I believe the names of the heads are financial, medical, tech/media/entertainment, political, education, religion and family. The dragon's desire is for evilness to reign in each of these systems.
These are systems that have been given to the world by God meant for holiness not corruption.
The dragon has been hell bent in corrupting these gifts from God with division, bitterness, anger, death, greed, betrayal, selfishness, addiction, witchcraft, lust, sexual immorality, thievery, lies and rebellion. This is why we have seen corruption in each sector of society. Daily we need to ask God, "LORD show me where and how have I embraced the corrupted heads of the dragon or how am I trusting in the idols of these systems?" Cry out for His wisdom and discernment. Repent of the sin of corruption before Jesus and confess it before man. Clean house and remove any idols or created things which bring defilement. Cling to Jesus and His Word regarding the embracing of these heads and their corruption, so that He may give you wisdom to walk in His holy ways. To no longer walk on the road that the dragon is traveling and be overtaken, but to walk in the opposite direction. The road of holiness, healing and peace. The road of Christ

OVERCOMERS
God is speaking today, “I threw the dragon down to the earth to test the earth. The world has embraced him and sadly so has my Bride. For now I shall judge and discipline the heart of man, lest they be condemned with the world and perish for eternity. For I AM a consuming fire.”
​
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”
Hebrews 12:28-29
​
Eight times in Revelation chapters 2 – 4, Jesus is rebuking the churches to repent of sin. Seven times He tells the Saints to “overcome.” His desire is that each one of us overcomes the dragon in our own hearts - to overcome sin. Each one of us repent and bare fruit; our robes washed white in the Blood of the Lamb.

John the Baptist says in Matthew 3:8, “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.”
​
One of the reasons the dragon has been unleashed on this earth is for testing- to test the hearts of men, women, children, young and old. But unfortunately, in the time of testing, many have fallen away.
We see evidence of the “dragon thrown to the earth” in 2 Timothy 3:1-5: divorce, division, apostasy, corruption, sickness and disease, un-imaginable evil, sexual immorality, greed, accusations, hatred, violence, abuse and self-gratification.
So, in this time of testing, we can be overcomers through repentance by the power of the Word of God, the Blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit or we can be overcome by the dragon? It is our choice.

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
2 Timothy 3:1-5

HOW WE OVERCOME AND DEFEAT THE DRAGON AND HIS MINIONS
God wants His people to know that spiritual warfare is very simple. It is not complicated or confusing.
If the dragon is “breathing down our necks,” this is how we overcome. We overcome and defeat the dragon through the power of the Holy Spirit, a pure heart, the Blood of the Lamb and by the Word of our testimony. This is what I call Davidical Warfare.
I feel that this may be one of the most important subjects I have written on yet. Many are seeking wisdom on how to overcome the enemy, spiritual warfare, demonic removal, and how to break curses. God has given us very clear and simple directions.

The Saints overcame the dragon by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
Revelation 12:11

DAVIDICAL WARFARE
How can you take on a wolf when you have become like the wolf.
Cleanse your heart and then you will be able to take your stand against the powers of darkness.

In His Word, God gives His people a beautiful example of how to war with the enemy - how to take on the wolf.
David, who became King of Israel, defeated his enemies by the power of God, and therefore, many enemies fell by the mighty hand of God. He warred from the power of the Holy Spirit which had been given to him, the blood of the lamb and the Word of God. He warred from a pure, repentant, meek and teachable heart humble before his God. His heart was teachable in seeking the LORD"S wisdom and therefore willing to be disciplined, corrected and purified by God. He was then able, as a righteous man, to pray, declare and ask for God's curses to come down on his enemies. David FIRST defeated the enemy in his own heart through the righteousness blood of the lamb and was then able to defeat the enemy with God’s Word and power. He took on the wolf first in his own heart and was then (by the power of God) able to take on the wolf that was coming against himself, his family and the kingdom of Israel. This is Davidical Warfare! This is the LAMB and the LION.
We cry out, "LORD judge my heart first lest I be condemned with the world. For how can I take on the wolf when I have become like the wolf. How can I ask you to judge (discipline) the world in the their sin, when I am not willing for you to judge (discipline) the sin in my own heart. How can I cry out for justice when I am not willing for you to bring justice to the un-repentant sin in my own heart.

“The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I am not guilty of turning from my God. All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees. I have been blameless before him and have kept myself
from sin. The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.
It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them so that they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet. You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me. You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes. They cried for help, but there was no one to save them— to the Lord, but he did not answer. I beat them as fine as windblown dust; I trampled them like mud in the streets.”

THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB IS THE LAUDERER'S SOAP
The LORD God says, "First wash your own robes in my blood - the lauderers soap and then you can ask me to wash another's robe. Otherwise, you will stand before My throne in self-righteousness."

I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty. But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years.

THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB FOR PURITY AND RIGHTEOUSNESS
Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
Psalms 24:3-8

Spiritual warfare must ALWAYS begin with the purity of our own heart through the precious Blood of Jesus. If not, then we will be decimated by the enemy. This is so important. Flee from spiritual warfare teaching that does not stress the importance of our heart - disciplined and purified FIRST before warring. How can we take on a dragon when we have become like the dragon? Don’t go there, lest you be wiped out.
How can we war without the Blood covering us and our families?
Be teachable, meek, humble and repent. Wash your robes white in the Blood of the Lamb.
Let the Righteous Teacher discipline and purify your heart. Let Jesus clean out the junk. Ask Him to purify, refine, correct, rebuke and discipline your heart. This is what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Remember, those He loves, He disciplines.
As the Word says, “They did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death." Take up the cross of your heart each day and die to your flesh. As the Teacher teaches, repent of sin where He reveals. Purify your heart from un-forgiveness, blame, anger, division, resentment, criticalness, envy, jealousy, condemnation, hatred, lies, deceitfulness, argumentativeness, harshness, disrespect, rebellion, sexual immorality, selfish ambition and slander. Will we be perfect and sinless? No, but we will be transformed and made pure like silver before a silversmith! As the silver is heated, the impurities in the metal rise to the top and the silversmith removes this dross. This process is continued until the silversmith can see his reflection in the silver. Our heart must be willing to be heated so that dross may come to the surface and wiped away. This is what it means to have a pure heart - willing to be taught, willing to be corrected, rebuked or disciplined. The heart of a child!

Seek His wisdom like a hidden treasure; Proverbs is a great place to start. His Word reveals and purifies our heart so that we can stand and not be defeated. God’s wisdom is supreme, therefore, get wisdom.
Pour into His Word and eat the Bread. If you are not hungry for the bread then cry out for His hunger. His Word is infallible, it nourishes, refines, corrects, reveals wisdom, direction and healing. It is LIFE! As Jesus said, “Man does not live on bread alone, but on every Word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Cry out for more of Jesus, more of His Wisdom and more of His Holy Spirit night and day. We need all of Him and the power of the Holy Spirit in this fight. Don’t give up on this prayer, God’s glory will come.
Make things right. Confess your sins, go to those you have wounded and sinned against and ask for forgiveness.
Continue to confess His Blood. After repentance, if we are still struggling with sin, proclaim Jesus’ Blood. Confess out loud, “I am righteous by the Blood of the Lamb. Jesus makes me righteous through His Blood.” His righteousness will enter your heart and you will not desire that sin anymore. You will wake up and find it no more.
Again, I will repeat this truth. Once sin has been repented and you are no longer making agreements with that spirit, if you fall short again, repent and then proclaim the Blood of Jesus over you and His righteousness. We cannot overcome sin by our mere efforts. Jesus is makes us righteous. Don't forget that!

THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB FOR PROTECTION
And finally, declare the precious Blood of Jesus over every part of your life – marriages, children, families, health, businesses, churches, land, neighborhoods, cities, states, nations and most importantly your heart.
It protects, shields and surrounds God’s people against the enemy.

THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY IS THE LION OF JUDAH
Take authority in Jesus’ Name and speak the Word of God – swing this mighty Sword to defeat the dragon. For he cannot stand up to Jesus who defeated him at the cross. For the Sword is Jesus Christ the Lion of Judah!!
Speak the imprecatory scriptures over the dragon and his demons for this is God curses given to His people for warfare. But first, purify your own heart and ask God to judge your heart first BEFORE you speak these. Otherwise they will boomerang and come on you. God’s curses, spoken from His mouth, are weapons of war that must be used with discernment for His Glory, for His Kingdom. As God commanded Joshua before taking possession of the promised land, “Meditate (speak) the Word of God day and night and do not let this Word cease from your mouth.
This is the Word of our testimony.

FEAR
Fear paralyzes Christians. The dragon and his demons have no power other then getting us to believe lies which create fear. When fear arises, it should be silenced by the Word and Blood of Jesus. Speak the Word over the specific fear. Go after that fear with truth – the truth of His Word. The dragon speaks lies which lead to fear, so match those lies with what God says. And fear will leave. Swing that mighty Sword against your enemy.
Stop talking about Satan attacking and don’t mention what he is doing. Christians often talk more about what the devil is doing than what Jesus is doing. Stop that! Don’t give him once ounce of credit or recognition. He is an ant beneath our feet.
May we daily cry out to the LORD to give us wisdom and discernment as to where we might be opening the door to the dragon and his helpers. How am I embracing fear and making agreements with this spirit? May He give us strength and courage to shut the door.

Below is a beautiful story about facing the devil with the Word of God and overcoming.
My friend gave me permission to tell this story. When she and her husband were young and dating they were both Christians and involved in the church. Sometime after they got married, her husband fell into sin and walked completely away from Christ. At that time, she had this same dream three nights in a row.
​
She followed her husband down some basement stairs and saw that he entered a dark room. Wondering what he was doing in there, she followed him. When he entered the room it remained dark. When she entered the room it lit up and she saw her husband joining hands with the devil in a tight grip. The devil had an evil smile on his face as though to say, I've got him." She desperately began pulling on her husband’s hands saying over and over, “You can’t have him Satan. He is sanctified in Christ through me. He is sanctified in Christ through me.” Suddenly, a bubble of light surrounded her and her husband. The devil was trying to get at her, but the bubble of light was shielding her from his attempts. She could still see her husband grasping the devil's hand through the bubble, but she continued to speak the Word of God.
Just then, his hand grip began to loosen and finally her husband let go. The devil angrily slithered away in the darkness.

After years of tremendous marital anguish and strife, she finally understood from the dream, that his soul was at stake. The room did not light up when he entered, but it did when she entered. She began to plead the Blood of Jesus over her husband's soul and speak this verse from the Word of God. A month later he rededicated his life to Christ and repented of his sins.
​
For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

COMMUNION
The Eucharist (communion) means thankfulness. A heart full of thankfulness that He has healed our bodies and forgiven us of our sins.
He asked us to take communion so we would never forget that it is by His broken body we are physically healed and it is through His Blood ONLY that we are made righteous.
It is not by our efforts, but only His. The dragon cannot stand against Jesus’ Blood nor His broken body.
In communion, the bread is broken to represent Jesus’ broken body. His body broken to heal our broken bodies. Our sicknesses and diseases have been paid for and laid upon His flesh.
Every wound, every stripe, every scar, and every marred part of His flesh was put there by His choice, so that we would not have to bare our wounds, stripes, scars or deformity. He said, ‘I’ll bare all your infirmities so that you may overcome and be healed.’ The dragon wants to inflict us with infirmities, but as we take communion every day for pain, sickness and disease, eating the Lamb of God (bread) for strength and healing for every weak area of our bodies, then healing shall come.
As we repent of sin before drinking His Blood (juice) and proclaim Jesus’ righteousness over our hearts and flesh, sin is defeated. Remember, His Blood makes us righteous and the dragon has no power against that precious, life-saving Blood. So if sin is a struggle and even if there is sin in
your family, continue to take communion and proclaim, “Jesus’ Blood is my righteousness. Jesus’ Blood is the righteousness of my family (name names).”
Communion is giving thanks for Jesus’ body given to us – His flesh and His Blood, for our healing, protection, righteousness, strength and purity of heart. This is the power of communion.

THE DRAGON SHALL BE DIVIDED, NOT GOD’S PEOPLE
Interestingly, Jesus gives us a special clue in Matthew 12.
​
Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand.” Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.”
Matthew 12:25-26, 29

Jesus says that if Satan’s kingdom is divided, he cannot stand and if we bind him, then he will be plundered. Hallelujah!
For Satan to drive out Satan means that God has brought confusion into Satan’s kingdom and they will annihilate each other. This happened when enemy armies came against the Israelites in the time of Moses, Gideon, King Jehoshaphat, Elijah, and King Hezekiah. The enemies of God slaughtered each other for they had ZERO protection against the Almighty God and His Mighty POWER.

A loud voice in heaven said, “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ.”
The dragon is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.
Revelation 12:10, 12b

Satan knows that his time is short and it is only a matter of time before the Army of God rises up and plunders him. He knows his days are numbered before the King of Kings binds him for good in chains and eventually throws him into the lake of fire.
So how do we bind the strong man? Through Davidical Warfare! These precious gifts which God has given His people will bind the dragon and his demons - remember, the purity of our heart, the Sword of the Spirit, the Blood of Jesus and His Holy Spirit!
Davidical Warfare is revealed in Revelation 12.
​
And the Saints overcame the dragon by the Blood of the Lamb and by the Word of their testimony.
​
The Saints with washed robes in the Blood of the Lamb, proclaiming His Blood over their families, churches, cities and nations must speak the Word of God and the imprecatory scriptures will send Satan’s kingdom into confusion and division, turning them upon themselves.
His end will come for he will not be able to stand. And JESUS will come with a double-edged sword in His mouth in reigning glory!
And the Saints shall conquer Satan through Jesus’ Righteousness blood and the mighty Sword.
It has been given to you. Take it and receive it! Find forgiveness, healing and restoration for your weary souls.
