The Blood of Jesus

The dominion of this earth rests in the blood of Jesus.

THE BLOOD

My dad has passed away and this is a testimony of the last few weeks of his life. I am sorry that I have to negatively explain what was in order to reveal the healing power of Christ. I know that my dad loved his family the best way he knew how in the midst of emotional struggles and is now with Jesus. I would not be here today if not for him. My motive is not to dishonor him, but to explain how desperately we need to plead the Blood of Jesus over our loved ones. Especially those who struggle in this life.

He was a pastor and a painter, who desired to preach the gospel and save souls for Jesus. His testimony, will save many souls - just as he always wanted.

This is who he was. My Dad spoke Christ out of one side of his mouth and abuse out of the other. His hands and feet did not match his verbally stated beliefs or confession of Jesus. He did not make things right with his family or right his wrongs of abuse, abandonment, adultery and blame.

This produced great spiritual confusion and a nagging question plagued me. How can you preach Jesus, but live your life as though you do not know Him. Your hands and feet do not match your mouth?

As Dad was aging and getting closer to the end of his life, my anger grew deeper, because I expected and anticipated (based on what he professed), that he would close his life with repentance and confession, making things right before God and his family. That didn’t happen.

If we repent before God, we must confess before men as the Word says. On my Dad’s part, there was never any confession, sadly only blame. The closer his end came, the more mean, angry and abusive he became.

One day, a month before he died, I asked the LORD in all my anger, "Are you going to let THAT in heaven? Because if you are, that’s not fair. He does not deserve it. How can one pray for others, lead them to Christ, read their Bible, speak of the Holy Spirit, and yet commit adultery, abuse their family, deny any wrongdoing, blame others, blame the dead, condemn his dead ex-wife, lie, cheat, slander, falsely accuse, and bathe himself in idolatry and addiction and still go to heaven? He doesn't deserve to go!” I felt guilty for asking it, but it was an honest question.

About a week later, God spoke to me, "Beth, what if you're not wrong?

What if he's not going to heaven? What if he is going where you think he deserves to go?”

Shocked, I stopped suddenly, for I never anticipated God to answer my question...nor give that answer.

He said, "If he's not going to heaven, than you have a moral and spiritual obligation to pray for his soul. You must repent of your lifelong condemnation of him and contend for his heart. Stop condemning and contend.” Not once in my whole life did I ever think that I needed to pray for his soul.

I repented of my judgment that had held him in chains and began contending for his soul for the first time in my life. I did this by speaking the Word of God fervently - swinging the Sword on his behalf and declaring the Blood of Jesus over his soul. I took the position of the verse which states, that a child of the righteous is declared holy. I knew he was the son and grandson of God-fearing parents. This truth needed to be proclaimed to the one who held my Dad in chains.

For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.

1 Corinthians 7:14

Here’s the good...

Two weeks later when I went to see my Dad in the nursing home and my husband was with me....he was a changed man. He had a tender, loving spirit, and was sweet to us and the nurses who cared for him. He didn't complain about the food or his living situation or my siblings.

He wanted his phone so that he could call his children and thank them sweetly for their care and love and tell them, also, how much he loved them. There was a peace in his Spirit I had never seen before.

That was the last time I saw him alive. My Dad was a World War 2 vet, so when he passed away, they draped the United States flag over his body and wheeled him out of the room. Just as his body was exiting the room, a military celebratory song started playing. It played the entire time he went down the hallway and out the doors to the waiting van. It was coming from a patient's room...a military movie playing on the TV. All who heard the song looked at each other in amazement.

That night while I was asleep, I heard angels singing, "The LORD God Almighty reigns, worthy is the Lamb."

Still sleeping, God spoke and said, "Your Dad has washed his robes white in the Blood of the Lamb."

Peace overwhelmed me as I woke with tears. I am so thankful to the LORD, that my Dad made things right with God and was with Jesus.

However, a few days later, a blanket of confusion covered me. I prayed to God, "I still don't understand how one can confess and believe in Jesus and then live the opposite. What is wrong, how does that work, because it doesn't make sense?" The word “trees” kept coming to my mind. He said, "Look at the trees and their fruit in my Word and how it relates to the heart.”

Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

Matthew 20-7:17

These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

Matthew 15:8

John says produce fruit in keeping with repentance.

Matthew 3:8

​

God said to me, "All these years, you wanted and prayed for good fruit to come from your Dad, but it never came. It couldn't come forth, because he was a bad tree. He did not repent of the sin in his heart and humble himself before me. The Fear of God was not in him. You did not pray for his soul, but only for his fruit. He could not produce good fruit when the tree was bad. This issue is not gray, it is black and white. A bad tree cannot produce good fruit and a good tree cannot produce bad fruit. Good fruit comes from a good tree, and bad fruit from bad tree. So, contend always for the soul of the tree and so shall good fruit come forth. Otherwise, they will be at risk of being cut down and thrown into the fire.”

You condemned your Dad and pointed the finger at him for all his bad fruit, but you failed to repent of your own sin toward him. Also, you did not ask Me, the Righteous Judge for wisdom, instead you became his judge. No one can take the speck out of a person’s eye, but the Holy Spirit.

I clearly understood and repented of my condemnation and lack of contending for my Dad’s soul. He made things right with Jesus, and that is all that matters. One day we will see each other face to face and all will be made right.

CLEANSING – REPENTANCE

They have washed their robes and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb.

Revelation 7:14

When we repent of our sins, the Blood of Jesus washes us clean. Our robes are no longer stained, but white as snow.

As we continually ask Jesus to judge our hearts and we cry out for His wisdom, He disciplines His children in love and righteousness. His Blood continues to wash our robes and make our hearts righteous. This is why Revelation 12 says, “And the saints overcame the dragon by the Blood of the Lamb.” We don’t overcome the dragon one time, we are continually overcoming this beast who daily tempts us to sin.

SALVATION

The Blood makes our spouses and our children and our grandchildren holy in the eyes of God, regardless of their choices. Only because of Jesus’ righteousness not theirs. His Blood pours down over them like a waterfall and makes them holy. The scripture does not say the believing spouse has unclean children. People, we absolutely have to get this! The Devil and his minions need to hear us loudly proclaim, “Get your claws off my children, for they are holy by the Blood of Jesus.”

Believers, why do we cower in the corner and let the Devil walk out the door with our children? Wake up! He is deceiving the hearts of our children and we are left trembling in fear, erroneously believing we are powerless. That is a lie from the pit of hell. If one spouse is righteous, then that child is holy, and the enemy needs to hear us shout this truth. “Get your hands off my family for the Blood of Jesus binds you Satan and all your principalities of darkness and my children are clean before God through Jesus.”

Don’t lay down and take what the Devil is dishing out. Stand up and war!

War for marriages, war for our children, war for souls and our nations,

Contending for our families with the Blood of Jesus!

THE BLOOD IS OUR SHIELD AND SALVATION STORY

My friend gave me permission to tell this story. When her and her husband were young and dating they were both Christians and involved in the church. Sometime after they got married, her husband fell into sin and walked completely away from Christ.

She had this same dream three nights in a row.

She follow her husband down some basement stairs and saw that he entered a dark room. Wondering what he was doing in there, she followed him. When she entered the dark room it lit up, but when he entered, it remained dark. What she saw was her husband joining hands with the devil, who had an evil smile on his face. Their hands were in a tight grip. She desperately began pulling on her husband’s hands saying over and over, “You can’t have him Satan. He is sanctified in Christ through me. He is sanctified in Christ through me.” Suddenly, a bubble of light surrounded her and her husband. The devil was trying to get at her, but the bubble of light was shielding her from his attempts. She could still see her husband grasping the devil's hand through the bubble, but she continued to speak the Word of God. Just then, his hand grip began to loosen and finally her husband let go. The devil angrily slithered away in the darkness.

She understood that his soul was a stake for the room did not light up when he entered. She began to plead the Blood of Jesus over her husband's soul and speak this verse from the Word of God. A month later he rededicated his life to Christ and repented of his sins.

RIGHTEOUSNESS

When we take communion and drink the juice or wine representing Jesus’ Blood, we repent of the sins in our hearts before the Lamb and declare, “You are my righteousness and your blood washes my robes clean, so that I may stand before the Almighty God and His throne.” Nothing can make us righteous, but the Blood of Jesus, for He alone IS our righteousness.

 

PROTECTION

When we confess the Blood of Jesus over our lives, the serpent, the enemy of God cannot prevail over us. His powerful blood is our protection, our

righteousness, our favor and shield. It negates and thwarts ALL evil powers.

 

AUTHORITY

Jesus’ Blood trumps all things. It washes and cleanses man. It guards and protects. It gives us full authority and victory against the dragon. Since Jesus shed His Blood sacrificially for the sins of man, God has put ALL things under Jesus’ feet. That means that NOTHING can stand against His Blood. The Word says that Jesus came to defeat the works of the Devil. As we proclaim the Blood of Jesus over our lives, then all evil must submit to the Blood and release its grip. Evil has no dominion over the Blood and possesses no power or authority. Praise Jesus!

I hear some say, ”Well you know we live in a world of sin and sickness, thick darkness is over the earth and sin reigns, the enemy is powerful.” And I say, “NO IT ISN’T!” I am compelled to ask what Bible are you reading? What word are you believing? Dwell on the TRUTH in the Word of God.

Jesus stated, “the prince of this world now stands condemned.”

John 16:11b

Surely the land on which our foot has trodden shall be an inheritance for you and your children forever, because you have wholly followed the LORD your God.

Joshua 14:9

​

Why should we fear the very enemy Jesus defeated, and crushed his head? Why should we fear the very enemy His blood conquered? Do not be in fear of the serpent. Do not speak or give the enemy credit for his actions. Do not speak in fear of his attacks. Do not speak of what the wicked do in secret, for the Devil is the equivalent of an ant beneath our feet.

Jesus’ Blood binds Satan and his demons. For God has put everything under Jesus’ feet and Jesus has put everything under our feet! So stand, take authority with the Blood of Jesus and the word of your testimony (the Word of God), and let not the enemy prevail. Do not crouch in the corner with fear, but STAND/ BELIEVE/SPEAK the Word and declare His precious Blood.

Healing will come, so persevere and confess the Blood of Jesus over this world, lost souls, our families, marriages, children, the body of Christ and our own lives for salvation, righteousness, protection, and authority.

VICTORY

This is the generation that all hell has feared. For we will declare and shout that Jesus’ blood has conquered. It conquers sin in us and in the world.

His Blood has defeated the works of the Devil and we the meek have inherited the earth. This is our land, for Jesus reigns, His Blood has redeemed this earth. You, oh little serpent, shall heed our words that come from the mouth of God. You are defeated, bound in chains by the Blood of Jesus

.

And the saints overcame the dragon by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. Revelations 12:11

We proclaim, “Devil….Jesus’ Blood drips over every inch of this world. Jesus reigns, because His shed Blood conquered you at the cross. Jesus’ Blood covers my body, my health, my marriage, my family, my finances, the church, our cities, our country and this world. We will overcome you by the Blood of the Lamb.”

​

ISRAEL

Oh precious Israel, Jesus’ Blood makes your land holy. And no enemy can prevail against it. His Holy Blood was shed on your soil and that means your enemies are standing on holy ground. Evil cannot remain in the presence of God or stand in soil bathed in righteous Blood.

​

The righteous will never be uprooted, but the wicked will not remain in the land.

Proverbs 10:30

​

The ONLY thing that will bring peace to your land and your enemies defeated is the precious Blood of Jesus declared over your inheritance.

Jesus died on your soil, that you might fully receive what was promised to you and prevail over your enemies through Him.

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,

and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Colossians 1:19, 20

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

Colossians 2:15

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
