The Armor of God

Years ago, I discovered something very interesting about the Armor of God.  I do believe it came from His wisdom, for I would not have thought of this myself.  It came about from treating patients. 

 

The spiritual Armor of God protects each area of the physical body.  

And if that area of the body is experiencing disease, sickness or weakness, then there is a good chance that the spiritual armor is not present or has been removed.   

 

Since we are mind, body and spirit, it would then make sense that the armor of God not only protects us spiritually, but the physical parts as well, because each piece of the armor is Jesus!! 

He is salvation/helmet, He is righteousness/breastplate, He is truth/the belt, He is peace/ shoes, He is faith/shield, and finally He is the Word of God/the sword. 

 

More than likely, the spiritual piece of armor that protects that part of the body has been knocked off by the enemy.   And many times it has to do with sin.  Now I am not saying that every disease, sickness or weakness is caused from our sin, but it is wise to ask God if it is. 

 

THE ARMOR AND INFIRMITIES

THE HELMET is the salvation of Christ which protects our mind, our beliefs, eyes, nose, ears and mouth/words.  It is for salvation, restoration, and deliverance.   

 

These issues can affect these body parts when there’s no spiritual helmet:   

Physical Problems: brain, ears, eyes, skin, face, mouth and tooth disease and dysfunction.  

 

These Sins Can Remove The Spiritual Helmet:  Unbelief, or unbelief in the salvation of Jesus, closed eyes, closed ears, drugs, witchcraft, demonization, worldly knowledge instead of wisdom, slander, verbal criticalness, verbal condemnation, and vanity. 

 

THE BREASTPLATE is the righteousness of Christ which protects organs meant for life, strength or immunity. 

 

These issues can be the result of no spiritual breastplate:

Physical Problems: heart, lung, stomach, liver, spleen, gall bladder, kidney, spinal, colon, and pancreas disease or dysfunction, poor circulation and immunity.

These Sins Can Remove The Spiritual Breastplate:  Issues of the heart such as fear, anger, self-righteousness, unfaithfulness, pride, rebellion, disdain, deceit, worldly sorrow, bitterness, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, murder, idolatry, sorcery, witchcraft, guilt and worldly sorrow.

THE BELT OF TRUTH is truthfulness or truth of Christ which guards the loins and pelvic area. 

 

These issues can be the result of no belt of truth:

Physics Problems: disease, bone degeneration, miscarriages/infertility, pelvic infections, cancer, reproductive organ disfunction, STDs, and injuries. 

 

These Sins Can Remove The Spiritual Belt Of Truth:  Lack of truthfulness or transparency, dishonesty, fear, lust, sexual immorality, pornography, disbelief in Christ as truth, or disbelief in His Word as absolute truth. 

 

THE SHOES are the peace of Christ which protects us as we come and go, which comes from the gospel.  As we go, we have peace in our feet and in our heart. 

  

These issues can be the result of no spiritual shoes:

Physical Problems:  foot disease, foot pain, foot issues, injuries, instability, walking problems, balance, rigidity, adrenal problems, blood pressure, fatigue and hormonal issues.

The Sins Can Remove The Spiritual Shoes:  Lack of peace, stress, fear, worry, veering off to the right or left, failing to walk straight ahead on the right path, feet that rush into evil, no rest or Sabbath rest, gluttony, laziness, slothfulness, idleness or the feet do not match the mouth (our words don’t match our actions).

THE SHIELD OF FAITH surrounds us with protection from enemy harm and shields our whole body. 

 

These issues can be the result of no spiritual shield or a lack of faith:

Physical Problems: harm, injury, misfortune, disease, sickness, and weakness. 

 

The Spiritual Shield Is Removed From:  Fear and unbelief in the Word of God, failure to live and walk by faith, because fear is our master.  

 

We are more afraid of the enemy and all our lack than belief in the Word of God and Christ Himself as our Shield, refusing to believe in the Word of God and His promises to protect oneself and others. 

 

THE SWORD is Christ the Word of God, the offensive weapon.  Victory against the darkness. 

 

These issues can be the result of not using the spiritual sword:

Physical Problems: harm, injury, disease, sickness, misfortune, death. 

 

The Spiritual Sword Is Not Swung From:  Sword - not swinging (speaking the Word of God) to protect oneself and others.  Failing to use the authority Christ has given us and therefore defeat the enemy in our midst.  Letting the enemy plunder, steal, kill and destroy. 

 

HEALING 

Lay your hands on the sick area of the body and repent of the sin God lays on your heart and ask Him to forgive.   

Cry out for God’s wisdom and ask Him to judge your own heart. 

Declare/speak Jesus’ name and the armor over your body parts. 

Declare the Blood of Jesus and His righteousness over your spiritual heart.   

Speak God’s Word over your life.   

Take communion daily for restoration. 

Thank Him for His presence and His healing.
