Relationships

No matter the relationship, they are all susceptible to strife, conflict, accusations, wounds and destruction.    

But relationships begin to heal when we take responsibility for our actions, our part or sin in the conflict and destruction.  We are responsible TO others, not FOR others.  In other words, we are responsible to give our relationships a pure, clean, peaceful and blameless heart.   That is our gift to them - not a heart full of junk, sin, strife and blame.  Mothers, fathers, and spouses are responsible to loved ones to steward their OWN heart.  To own their sin; to make things right when we have wronged another.  

Here is hidden wisdom from God, which He taught me a long time ago.  If I keep my mouth and heart pure and holy before God, He will go on my behalf, through the back door and work in the heart of the other person.  

BECAUSE it is not our responsibility to change another, it is the Holy Spirit’s, who convicts a person of sin.  But it is our responsibility to God and to man to present our hearts pure and blameless, allowing the Teacher to reproof, correct and rebuke our own heart.  THEN healing will come.  And that healing is first birthed in us. 

Otherwise, we stand before another as the accuser and a self -righteous sinner and healing will never come. 

It is my heart that will stand ALONE before the throne of God, not with anybody else.   

 

Sometimes we believe that our words are more powerful than our prayers and we try to change the other person with mere words - criticalness and judgement.  This is a lie.  Our prayers for them are life changing for us and them.   

So we should keep our mouth silent, own our part and pray for our relationships so that the wisdom of God may enter our hearts and the their’s. 

And healing shall be birthed by the power of Jesus! 

 

A STRONG CONFIDENCE  

Having a strong confidence in ourselves and in Christ leads to healthy relationships.  A strong confidence comes from the righteousness of Christ, and from the repenting of our sins.  A strong confidence is a pure heart. 

 

In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence and his children will have a refuge. Proverbs 14:26
