HIS WORD, HIS BLOOD, HIS PRESENCE, HIS NAME, AND HIS WISDOM BARS THE DOOR SHUT

We have been given all of these precious gifts for our protection. Why do we not cling to them with all of our strength? They are the KEY to our protection.

In Hebrew, Redeemer means family protector. Jesus is the one who binds, protects and strengthens the family.

“Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you,” declares the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 41:14

And He does this through His Name, His Blood, His Presence, His Wisdom and His Word. We are to believe it, seek it, cry out for it, proclaim it and purify our hearts before Him!

Praise you Jesus for your Word that protects, your Blood that brings righteousness, your Grace that showers favor, your wounds that heal, your Holy Spirit that convicts and gives power and life, your Name that is above all names and the Almighty who gives us love and wisdom. You are to be glorified.

But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.

Psalm 5:11, 12

He preserves the lives of his saints, he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Psalms 97:10

The children of your servants shall dwell secure; their offspring shall be established before you. Psalm 102:28

The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.

Psalm 121:7, 8

No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked have their fill of trouble.

Proverbs 12:21

WISDOM PROTECTS US

In Proverbs, it states that wisdom will save us from wicked men, guards and directs our paths, saves us from immorality, cause us to live in safety, and be at ease without the fear of harm. Jesus is our wisdom!

For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you. Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.

Proverbs 2:6-15

Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.

Proverbs 4:6

But whoever listens to wisdom will live in safety and be at ease without fear of harm.

Proverbs 1:33

FEAR

Why do the Saints then live in fear for our children, families, health, wealth, nations and our well-being when the Word says He will protect us? The enemy has us crouching in the corner with fear and WE believe it and even speak it with fearful words. We believe more in the enemy’s actions than the Word of God. We can either fear the devil or have the fear of God in us, but it can’t be both.

Don’t speak fearfully, but speak the Word boldly, because this is what it says about His people:

The righteous are as bold as a lion. He will make the righteous stronger than their foes. He will bless our coming and our going. His favor surrounds us like a shield. He will command His angles concerning us.

GERMS AND SICKNESS

We can either FEAR sickness or FEAR God, but we can’t do both. He made this world and our bodies and He knows how to protect them. We

trust in our idols to protect and save us, but they are worthless. JESUS protects us through all of His gifts that I have mentioned above. He alone is the giver of health. But if we trust in our idols, we will become like them, deaf, mute and blind.

Their idols have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see. They have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but cannot smell. They have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but cannot walk, nor can they utter a sound with their throats. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.

Psalms 115:5-8

The spoken Word of God is more powerful than any enemy of God.

It is the Sword we must swing for our protection. Do not let it be silent in the mouth, but boldly proclaim it is so, believe it and praise Him for His protection.

WE HAVE BEEN FOOLED

We have been fooled in our thinking. We have been fed a lie that we have to LAY DOWN AND TAKE whatever the enemy dishes out…this is life. NO IT ISN’T! We have been deceived in the belief that it is normal when the devil plunders our lives by stealing, killing and destroying.

So in believing that lie, we have opened the door to the enemy and allowed him to come in and take whatever he wants. Stop that! If we are a child of God, His Word says we are protected and no harm shall come to us. He commands us to stand up to this dragon with our Sword and tell him to back off, get out of my house, get your claws off me and my family and do not back down to him. For he is an ant beneath our feet.

Swing the Sword we have been given, for the devil and his minions must obey Jesus who is the Word.

He will consume our enemies with fire!!

For He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones.

Proverbs 2:8

SHAKY GROUND

God said in His Word that He will protect, shield, surround, defeat, direct and cover His people. He will also command His angles concerning us to guard us in all our ways. We must declare and believe His Word and what He says about our well-being. Believe it and declare it so! Otherwise we will stand on shaky ground with our limbs weak and our knees give way.

Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. Make level paths for your feet.

Hebrews 12:12

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, be strong, do not fear; your God will come, He will come with vengeance, with divine retribution He will come to save you.

Isaiah 35:3

NO PROTECTION

The Word says that the wicked have no protection. They are like a sitting duck with only man made strength to protect themselves. How worthless is man’s efforts against the Almighty God.

The Saints shall not be afraid of man or the enemies of darkness for God is our shield and protector, but the wicked have nothing.

Just like the pagan armies in the Old Testament, they were consumed by God, nothing could protect them from Him. He scattered them, sent them into confusion, made them turn and kill each other, and sent them fleeing. We will defeat those who have defeated us, because our God is with us!

GOD’S PROTECTION DID NOT COME

God’s promises of protection did not come for my son and he died, our wealth and we were plundered, my health which was weakened, and our peace which was promised, but I know with absolute clarity why it didn’t. God mercifully gave me understanding and wisdom that surpassed ALL understanding. People say, “Well we will never know in this lifetime why God did such and such.” I completely disagree.

His Word says if we cry out for understanding and wisdom, He will give it. The LORD knows that we need both to make sense of things and to be able to grow. He said He would show us the hidden things of God. Blaming God gets us nowhere, but in a dark pit. I have been there, done it.

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3

When God’s protection, as He has promised, does not come as we expected and prayed, then that is not the time to blame God and accuse Him of wrongdoing, but to cry out for His wisdom with ALL of our broken heart. It may take time, but He does bring understanding. Some may say, “How can we trust the Word when God’s promises failed us?” There is no way in our little human minds to possess eyes that see what God sees. His Word is perfect and NEVER fails, because it is God. He does not fail, lie or

deceive. But man is the one who is imperfect. May we NEVER forget that. God says in Job, “You would condemn me to justify yourself?”

So in the midst of confusion and brokenness, may we cry out for more of Jesus, more of His wisdom, more of His understanding, and more of His Holy Spirit. All of you Jesus and none of me.
