Mercy Me – The Hurt and The Healer

The heart is the wellspring of life - from where wellness comes.  Like a well, the heart is to be

"dug up" so that living water may come forth and bring life and healing.

Within the heart flows wisdom or foolishness, goodness or evil, peace or chaos, meekness or pride, love or hate, health or sickness.  We get to choose.  Jesus desires that we have a meek and teachable heart willing to be purified, corrected, reproofed, and disciplined by the loving and merciful God, so that we choose life instead of death.  Then a fountain of much needed healing comes forth through His wisdom and power.  Miracles of restoration spring forth in all areas of our life.

This healing journey begins with our heart, mind, soul, and strength surrendered to Jesus crying out for His wisdom.  For strength of life is birthed from the meek and humble heart before the throne of God.  When all is said and done, the heart will be what remains forever-- either separated from God or together with Him in His glory. That's why God says to mankind, "Love me with all of your HEART, soul, mind and strength and then you will be able to love others.

The condition of our heart is of upmost importance to Jesus.  He willingly went to the cross and shed His blood so that our heart would be restored beautifully back to God the Father.  Only through the precious blood of Jesus can the heart be made righteous and filled with His wisdom so that it brings forth life - no more death.

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.  Psalm 4:23
